More About Semester At Sea

Semester at Sea is a study abroad program that provides students from universities all over the United States the opportunity to learn firsthand about other cultures. I will be taking four classes during the semester on board the ship: World Geography, Cross Cultural Perspectives of the Family, Introduction to World Music, and Learning, Education, and Society. The classes are organized through the University of Virginia. While we are in each port we will travel and take part in activities that correlate to the curriculum. The ship departs from Nassau, Bahamas, on February 4th, and will return to San Diego, California, May 14th- Around the world in 100 days!!

Thoughts before I set sail...

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
--Mark Twain
